What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a type of therapy that has a structured 8 phase protocol to ensure safety and healing.
We work together to get more work done in three days (6 hours total) that could take months in traditional fifty-minute weekly therapy.
Start tackling those negative self-beliefs and your past trauma with evidence-based EMDR therapy.
What happens in those three days?
-
This is the time we get to know each other through the intake process. Here, I seek to learn more about your life history, you start to learn effective resourcing techniques, and about the EMDR process, and for us to begin to identify our focus during our time together.
-
This is the time we begin to dive deeper in our focused work to tackle the identified negative belief or trauma we are working on. Each person works through the EMDR process differently, and that's the beauty of an intensive tailored to your needs.
-
This final session is when we continue the work we started, check in on the level of disturbance of the identified target, and reflect on the experience as a whole. You will be given clinical recommendations, and I will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Learn More About EMDR
EMDR therapy, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a specialized form of psychotherapy designed to assist individuals in processing and releasing traumatic memories. Through the use of controlled eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, this therapeutic technique aims to help clients reprocess distressing experiences, reducing their emotional charge and impact.
By facilitating a dual attention focus—where clients recall traumatic memories while simultaneously engaging in lateral eye movements—EMDR can promote more adaptive information processing, leading to healing and improved mental well-being. This method has been effectively used to treat various conditions, including PTSD, anxiety, and phobias, encouraging a path toward recovery and resilience.
